Creative Development

At S&C we can provide the government with cost effective PSA campaigns in both English and Spanish.

Budgets affect what type of creative you produce, because you will need to pay for a portion of the advertising cost.

At S&C, we have developed everything from simple PSA campaigns to complex, award-winning campaigns. Below you will see how we brought to life a PSA campaign to alert motorists about the dangers of driving in a work zone.

Creative Production

S&C created a multimedia campaign that included two television ads (3D animation), three radio ads, a brochure, a four-color poster, bumper stickers and a three-dimensional press package containing all the campaign elements, along with a powerful press kit. The press kit contained press releases, media alerts, a video tape containing the animated public service announcements, an audio cassette containing the radio announcements, a bumper sticker, a work zone safety poster, etc.

Program management, execution and implementation included packaging and sending all campaign materials, including CD-ROMs (with art files) to all 50 states, coordination with all 50 state Departments of Transportation to promote the Department of Transportation's Work Zone Safety Initiative, and negotiation and placement of value-added advertising nationwide.

Grassroots Programs

We can develop grassroots programs nationwide in English & Spanish, as we did for the White House Office of Drug Control Policy, where S&C helped launch Veterans Against Violence And Drugs in San Antonio, Texas, and then helped them roll the public outreach program nationally. Additionally, we have worked with existing civic and charitable organizations, which helped carry the message to their constituencies. We have worked with as many as 600 at one time. Since we have the ability to effectively communicate electronically, we can work with many organizations simultaneously via e-mail, phone, fax and the Internet.

S&C helped launch Veterans Against Violence And Drugs Nationwide in collaboration with the Congressional Medal of Honor Society and Medal of Honor recipient Richard Rocco. This program reaches out to underserved Hispanic and African-American teens at risk. This program continues to flourish and grow.

Advertorials

Advertorials are a method of delivering public information in an editorial setting, such as the ones we have included in this section. They are created to look as if they were part of the media they are being placed. Although a small advertorial has to be prominently placed on the ad, the ads are created to appear as part of the editorial content.

Another reason to include advertorials as part of your Public Service campaign is effectiveness. People are more likely to spend more time reading an advertorial.

Advertorials allow you to capture your target audience. By combining paid ads and advertorials you achieve synergy between two effective methods of reaching and communicating your message.

The advertorials S&C created for the White House Office of Drug Control Policy were designed to fit the type and language of the specific magazines. The Reader's Digest advertorial mimics the same layout style and font used throughout the magazine, so it resembles an article within the magazine. The next advertorial was placed in a Spanish parenting magazine, so it speaks to them with relevant messages, and finally, the "Remember What You Got Away With?" ad was written in English using Spanish words to attract the mostly young Cuban American readership of the magazine called Generation Ñ.

Why Contract with S&C?

S&C has agreements with the nation's largest media companies to provide value-added advertising for non-profit organizations, governmental institutions and public information campaigns. The media outlets are nationwide. They include radio, TV, outdoor, and special events. S&C can also coordinate these media to promote the campaign by staging interviews nationwide!

We can provide Radio, Television and Public Service Announcement Services in both Spanish and English. This is particularly significant because the 2000 Census shows that Hispanics are now the largest minority group in the U.S.

Contracting with S&C means you will receive full credit for contracting with an 8(a), SB, SDB and Woman Owned business.
