S&C
Advertising & Public Relations’ media training program

is divided into three segments, each of which is video taped
and played back to the individual while our staff provides
constructive comments and tips on how the trainee could improve
his or her presentation and responses.
In
the first segment, our interviewer asks “softball”
questions in an attempt to make the interviewee feel more
comfortable with the pressures of the lights, camera and
the interviewer.
The
second segment builds on the first and enables the individual
to begin using the tools and techniques outlined in the
first critique session. Each segment of the training becomes
increasingly more intense to test the trainee’s ability
to use the tools and techniques being taught in order to
deal effectively with virtually any question posed by the
interviewer.
The
third segment consist of a mock “ambush TV interview”
where the individual is questioned by several “reporters”
with loud and negative questions about his organization’s
reputation.
S&C
personalizes each interview to the individual’s background
and position, thus making the training more relevant and
effective. During the one-on-one training, S&C helps
the individual develop three key messages that the interviewee
can always fall back on in touchy situations.
